Rock Garden of Chandigarh |Travel diaries - part 3

Read about my journey to Chandigarh

The first place that was lined for the day was the Rock garden. It was about a 30 minutes drive from our hotel. As I entered the place, my eyes were stunned. Everything was looking so beautiful and unique. I have never seen such beauty in my life.

So basically, the Rock garden is built from industrial, household waste, and discarded items. It consists of man-made waterfalls and many sculptures that are made up of waste such as bottles, glasses, bangles, tiles, ceramic pots, sinks, electrical waste, broken pipes which are placed on walls. Inside the garden, there's a Doll Museum which looks so amazing. I clicked a few pictures and shot some videos. Check out the video below.

The place was quite large and we didn't have much time. I and my friends were so lost in the beauty of the sculptures that we didn't realize that we had many missed calls from our professors and friends as they all were waiting for us inside the bus. We increased our pace towards the bus. But, as the garden was quite huge, it took us some time to figure out the exit. I had many thoughts as well as my heart was pumping so fast, thinking about the fact that the next destination should not be canceled. After struggling a bit, we finally reached the bus. Our professors were very kind and friendly. They let it slide and just scolded for a minute and after that everything was fine.

Our next destination was a software-based company. We had a 45 minutes session and then we went to a hotel and had our lunch. However, it was already too late, so we had to cancel one of the destinations and instead decided to visit Sukhna lake. After a 30 minutes drive, we reached the place. There was an eatery place where there was a good amount of crowd. Mostly, youngsters.
It was decorated with lights and gave a completely different vibe. Then I started walking towards the lake. The temperature had slightly dropped down so, I wore my hoodie and started walking again. There was a train of blocks made up of cement, near the lake. So, me and my friends sat down and started enjoying the peaceful nature. None of us uttered a word and were immensely enjoying the nature. The lake was looking so beautiful and was shining because of the moon's light. I slightly lay down myself and watched the beautiful stars that were shining in the dark sky. I gently closed my eyes and my eyes started feeling the cold breeze. Everything was so peaceful. After a while, we again started walking. My hands started to feel quite cold so, I placed my hands inside my hoodie. This place had definitely blown my mind as it was so peaceful and quiet.

Later, we went to the eatery place again where my other friends were having tea. I sat on a bench and started staring at the two dogs. So here's a thing about me: I like dogs but, from a distance. One of my friends called them through a gesture. He is an animal lover. I was quite scared as they were only 10 cm apart from my legs. My friend started playing with the dog and insisted me to touch them. I was so scared that I refused him. He again told me to try once. You know what happened? I touched him. Woahhh!!!. As soon as my hands touched his fur-like body, it felt so soft and the feeling was so amazing. It was similar to touching a blanket. They were so soft. My little brain was so happy as I was playing with them. But, sadly after a while, I had to leave them.
Everyone boarded the bus and we went to our hotel, had our dinner and boarded our bus again for Manali.
